HOW TO FISH WITH TRIGGERFISH

IMPORTANT:  Triggerfish is designed to always be on its side.  This allows the lure to be steerable and provides a strong visual cue that mimics a wounded baitfish. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-You will get maximum performance by using braided line up to 30 pound test.  The combination of light weight and low stretch is ideally suited for Triggerfish.

-Monofilament between 6-14 pound test will provide adequate performance, but the increased stretch will decrease responsiveness.

-As with most topwater baits, avoid using sinking lines such as copolymer or flourocarbon.  Swivels, snaps, and metal leaders should also not be used, as they will change the balance dynamics and hurt performance.  Tie directly to the line tie and snug knot securely.

-Triggerfish works best in low wind conditions.

-Maximum control can be achieved with medium distance casts or less.  Advanced users can lengthen casts as techniques are mastered.

-Steering works best when the line is not dragging in the water.

-For best performance use a rod with medium to medium heavy action between 6 and 7 feet.
